Speech Links to Literacy

Speech Links to Literacy In-Person

Is your child headed to kindergarten in the fall of 2026? If so, come check out Speech Links to Literacy! Heidi Haas MS, CCC-SLP/L, a speech-language pathologist and Assistant Teaching Professor at Penn State Harrisburg, has paired with The Library to offer a special storytime focused on speech sound production and early literacy skills. You and your child will participate in activities to promote speech and language skills and learn how to use library books to make reading together at home a fun and rewarding experience. Siblings are welcome to attend! Due to the instructional level of the program, registered children must be at least 4 years of age and preparing to enter kindergarten in fall 2026.

1.5 hours. For ages 4-5 years. Registration is required and limited. ***This is a recurring program. Register once to be signed up for the Winter 2026 dates running from January 23-March 20. NOTE: There will be no program on March 13.***
